Product Testing and Validation for BackAid Back Reminder System1

This project involved the testing and validation of the BackAid Back Reminder System.  This product is a pager-sized device worn on the belt of workers engaged in tasks requiring repeated torso movement.  The device provides detailed information regarding the worker’s torso postures.  The testing and validation protocols compared the effects of the BackAid system with other forms of back support, including traditional back belts.  The study provided the client with detailed information on the competitive performance of workers using the system and recommendations for further product development.
